now, you want to be careful about the angle of the light source.
since it's in front of them, their shadows are going to stretch far past where we are as viewers, so you want to make the shadows come all the way to the foreground if possible. (oh gosh, that sounded corny and teacher-like. XC)
BTW,regarding the adoptable, its going to be mainly dark grey/black with orange/brown claws and feet, and dark orangey feathers, i was gonna have its tongue dripping acid or something, but i wasn't sure if you would be cool with that? ALSO, Dilong Paradoxi are about as tall as somebody's lower thigh, so do you want it to be big and mutated, or still tiny?
acid-spit i don't care for and it will probably be left out if i ever draw or RP him/her. you can add it if you want, though.
but if the base is black, then metallic purple/blue/green or even just grey will do fine.
i'll look at it's stature and decide the size for myself, so don't worry about it.
if you need, i can give you some tips for hair and lighting.
i think it would be easier to show you. is it alright that i edit this and re-submit it to scraps?
