Below is near the ending of Tales of Amaria, and its part of the VERY rough WIP of the novel itself (emphasis on ROUGH and VERY)
"Lafayette, this is your chance, if you leave now, you can live your life, you won't have to run anymore!" Mir's eyes darted around quickly as she urged her sister towards the end of the dock. The familiar howling of the Captain's henchmen sounded in the distance, they did not have much time.
"No, Mir! I can't just...just LEAVE you! Please, let me fight with you!" The young girl resisted her sister's pushing, and started back towards the hills.
The wise Magi's breath shook ever so slightly, her eyes closed slowly, and after a few deep breaths she realized what she had to do. "Lafayette..." Mir started "You know I love you as though we were of the same blood...but I cannot be so selfish as to allow you to stay in Amaria. There can be no life for you here; so I'm telling you to take the last boat to Aggicha. IT is much diferent there, and you WILL be safe."
Before Lafayette could respond, a final shove from her sister forced her onto the small boat, nodding to the man at the front.
"Aw, how sweet...the owner is saying goodbye to her mutt?" Mir turned around to see the beloved Police Captain standing a few meters away, her hounds standing further back. "You have nowhere to run, and my dog's have no problem dragging you down to a watery grave, now come quietly or face your demise."
" I'm no fool, Chief, I won't become a mindless slave for a simpleton such as yourself." Mir's amulet began to give off a faint glow "I'm sorry Lemra..." she whispered to herself " I may not be able to stop the High King, but I WILL end you!" her usual sense of composure, as well as her form disappeared in the entanglement of mist and bright blue aura.
" YOU FOOLS, ATTACK HER!" Chief snarled at her underlings, but the blinding light pulsed out with such force, they were stuck to place in fear. "W-what are you doing?!" For the first time, Chief began to panic.
"Mir!" Lafayette cried as she was buffeted by the strong gusts emanating from her sister's amulet. A pulse of light then burst forth, propelling the boat forward with intense speed and force.
" GAH!" Chief gasped as she and her minions were knocked back harshly.
Spinning and twisting around the Magi, was the very essence of her dear partner, she knew this would greatly weaken him. The swirling masses of energy formed into the ghastly form of a lion, rushing forth through the very bodies of her enemies.
As he passed through their forms, the souls of the Chief and her werewolves were forcefully ripped forth, entwining into an eldrich mass and were sucked into her pendant, before the lion dissipated into the mist.
A few heartbeats passed before mir opened her eyes again, turning to see the small figure of the boat fading into the distance.
" That was a little over the top...don't you think?" A weak male voice sounded in Mir's head
"sorry... I lost my cool..." Mir sighed nonchalantly. "I still have to worry about the High King...but at least she'll be safe...she will be able to live a good life now." The shrewd woman then turned her visage to the sky, both moons slowly, but surely rising to the heavens. "I think it's time I take on a new apprentice, don't you think?"
"You sure move on fast..." the voice replied
" Oh, shut up." she kicked lightly off of the ground, taking off towards the hills once again."
